Admissions Counselor

À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, located in Greensburg, PA, seeks applications for an Undergraduate Admissions Counselor. 

Examples of Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage recruitment territory – including extensive travel in and out of state, college fairs, high school visits and presentations, and other recruitment events, as needed.
  • Manage recruitment of undergraduate students in territory - including completion of application items, admissions decisions, interviewing prospective students, evaluating student files, and meeting enrollment goals.
  • Participate in on-campus and virtual recruitment events, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, related work experience a benefit.
  • Successful candidates must also have strong public speaking skills and great customer service abilities, with emphasis on effective telemarketing competencies.
  • Marketing and sales experience helpful.
  • Evening and weekend work is required for some of the calendar year.

Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach

À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as an Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach. The successful candidate will work closely with the head coach to support all aspects of the men’s soccer program. It is important that the Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach develops and maintains positive interactions with students, colleagues, our university community, alumni and the general public. A knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all PSAC Conference, NCAA Division II, and University Rules and Regulations as well as dedication to the full academic and character development of student-athletes are essential.

The Assistant’s Men’s Soccer Coach will assist the head coach in creating an engaging environment, challenging individuals to strive for excellence in every aspect of being a student-athlete in a positive atmosphere. Responsibilities include recruiting, scouting, player development, travel coordination, program administration, fundraising and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach. 

Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of two years coaching experience and four years or more playing experience at the collegiate or professional level. Incumbent must be CPR, First Aid and AED certified or willing to acquire certification and must have knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations.   Incumbent should have passionate commitment, strong communication, excellent organizational, delegation and planning ability. In addition, must be highly motivated with an outstanding work ethic, strong emotional intelligence and a high attention to detail.

Assistant Women's Soccer Coach

The Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach will assist the Head Coach with the organization, development and implementation of a competitive NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer program that competes at the highest level. Responsibilities include recruiting, scouting, player development, travel coordination, program administration, fundraising and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach. The Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach will develop and maintain effective interaction with students, colleagues, university staff, alumni and the general public. The Assistant Coach will have knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations as well as dedication to full academic development of student-athletes are essential.

Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of two years coaching experience, soccer operations experience or four years playing experience at the collegiate or professional level. Strong communication, organizational, administrative and computer skills along with a Strength & Conditioning Certification or Goal Keeping experience.

Assistant Registrar

À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ seeks applications for an Assistant Registrar.  The start date for this position is January 1, 2024.  Chartered in 1918, À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ is a leading Catholic coeducational liberal arts university founded by the Sisters of Charity and embracing students of all faiths. The Assistant Registrar will provide support in the maintenance of academic records and the evaluation of academic credit.  The incumbent will be expected to operate with precision and efficiency while delivering first-class customer service.  This position reports to the Registrar.

Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Evaluate prospective students’ prior transcripts and other forms of credit for acceptance into a À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ degree program. 
  • Create and maintain transfer guides for students matriculating from 2-year institutions. 
  • Maintain and review articulation agreements held with other institutions in the area.
  • Perform degree audit system maintenance and ensure accuracy of degree requirements in order to provide students a clear pathway to graduation.
  • Serve as School Certifying Official (SCO) for certification of veteran student enrollment to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). 
  • Fulfill transcript requests through the National Student Clearinghouse. 
  • Maintain fluency and compliance with FERPA regulations, À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ policies, AACRAO best practices, and industry trends related to transfer and articulation.
  • Assist members of the Registrar team with other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Three years of experience in a higher education setting.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills and a very high attention to detail.
  • Ability to create and maintain complex records and files.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple offices and individuals to solve problems.

Metadata and E-Resource Management Librarian

À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ seeks qualified applicants for the full-time position of Metadata and E-Resource Management Librarian beginning July 1, 2024.   

The Metadata and E-Resource Management Librarian will plan, coordinate, and evaluate the library’s cataloging and metadata processes, and provide original and enhanced copy cataloging for materials in all formats. This position will serve as primary administrator for the library’s electronic resources and work to resolve access and holdings issues. The Metadata and E-Resource Management Librarian will demonstrate successful teaching methods to assist students in developing proficiency in information fluency. The incumbent will manage and be responsible for all library operations during assigned evening hours and must make decisions regarding the interpretation and application of policies and procedures.

Candidate must possess a Master's Degree in Library Science or Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution or equivalent. Experience with library cataloging and major library automation systems is required. Candidate must have strong analytical skills and knowledge of MARC, RDA, library classification (preferably Dewey Decimal), and emerging information technologies. This position requires an understanding of information fluency and the ability to teach the topic as well as to assess students’ levels of competence. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, in person and by telephone, and must be able to travel within the University community.
