Research

At À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ you will learn research methods in psychology, including research design and data analysis. You will then have the opportunity to conduct research on your own - or in partnership with faculty or classmates - and present your research in a professional venue. Many students present research at the annual Eastern Psychological Association conference, one of the regional conventions of the American Psychological Association. 

Faculty

À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Psychology Program faculty have professional backgrounds in social and experimental psychology, and are active researchers. This gives you the opportunity to explore a range of research and career interests.

Internships

À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ offers psychology majors the ability to participate in Psi Chi (the International Honor Society in Psychology) in addition to À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ’s Psychology Club.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects the job outlook for psychologists to grow faster than the average for all occupations. The 2019 median annual pay for a psychologist exceeded $80,000.
